The Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment Videos

This video series provides a broad overview of the Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) screening model to identify and manage individuals at risk for or who have a dependency on substances.  The first video provides a brief overview of the model and the subsequent videos provide demonstrations of completing the brief interventions for positive screenings for various substances.

These are skills and tools that can be applied to the behavioral health care manager and the provider delivered care manager.

We hope you find them useful and welcome any feedback and or recommendations of how MiCCSI can support care team members in building their confidence in using the SBIRT approach.  To do this, you can contact Sue Vos at sue.vos@miccsi.org or Amy Wales at amy.wales@miccsi.org.
