Post Concussion Syndrome Management

This on demandcourse is designed to familiarize the care manager and other care team members with the diagnosis, pathophysiology and treatment of post concussion patients.  This recorded material is available for nursing and social work enduring continuing education credits.

Intended audience

This course is designed to provide an overview of asthma prevalence, diagnosis, goals of therapy and tools to identify and recognize how to assess asthma control.
It is intended for care managers in the primary care or ambulatory care settings. This recorded material is available for nursing and social work enduring continuing education credits.


  1. Review current concepts in concussion management
  2. Increase understanding of concussion signs and symptoms and pathophysiology
  3. Facilitate knowledge of proper concussion assessment and management in the injured patient
  4. Review current concussion treatment guidelines

Stephen Bloom, DO

Dr. Bloom is the Medical Director of the Brain Injury and Home & Community Rehabilitation Program at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is an award-winning and honored physician, triple board-certified in Brain Injury Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Osteopathic Board of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Bloom is on the board of the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council and is medical director of the Wounded Warrior Brain Injury Program in conjunction with Grand Valley State University.
